Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 3:00pm. Check-out is by 11:00am.

If you are arriving late, call the front desk on (805) 544-0500 beforehand and we will make arrangements.

Parking

Parking is complimentary and on site.

No resort or amenity fee

There is no resort fee and no amenity fee. Breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi, the pool and hot tub and the fitness centre are all included in the room rate. Local taxes and assessments are shown before you confirm a booking.

Breakfast

A complimentary hot breakfast is served each morning — sausages and eggs, fresh waffles, bagels with cream cheese, bread, muffins or danishes and the usual accompaniments.

Items may vary. We aim to put out the full buffet each morning, but something is occasionally unavailable.

Pool and hot tub

The outdoor pool and jacuzzi are in the courtyard and are open to guests. Seasonal hours are posted at the pool gate.

Dogs

We are a pet-friendly hotel — do not leave your dog behind. Please tell us when you book so we can put you in a suitable room, and ask the front desk about the current pet fee.

Service animals are always welcome and are exempt from any fee, in accordance with ADA guidelines.

Rooms and kitchens

Most rooms have a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, cooktop and microwave. The Double King Studio Kitchen has a full kitchen with a dishwasher, stove and oven.

All suites are on the second floor and are reached by stairs only. If that is a problem, please call us before booking — the ground-floor rooms and the ADA Double Room are step-free.

Accessibility

The ADA Double Room is our accessible room, with two double beds and a private bathroom with a shower. The meeting rooms have adjacent ADA bathrooms.

Meetings and events

Two connected rooms of 459 square feet each, combining into 918 square feet for up to 50 guests. Tables, chairs, linens and water come with a conference rental. A projector screen is included; a projector is not. Outside catering is welcome — we do not cater ourselves. The space is not suitable for receptions.

Cancellation

Cancellation terms vary by rate and are shown when you book and repeated in your confirmation email. If you are unsure, call us and we will check.

Smoking

Sands Inn & Suites is a smoke-free property. A cleaning fee applies if smoking is detected in a room.
