Make this Memorial Day weekend 2022 one for the books and join beer lovers from SLO and beyond at Viva La Cerveza at Madonna Meadows on May 28th from 12nn to 4 pm. Get a babysitter if you have kids because it’s a 21 and over event. There’ll be music, tacos, beer, a giant beer pong table, cornhole, inflatable games, and more beers throughout the afternoon.

If you love jazz tunes, head to the 37th Annual Jazz Piano Showcase on Saturday, May 28th at 7:30 pm at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, San Luis Obispo. Hosted by San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation, the concert will benefit the federation’s annual student scholarships. General admission tickets are priced at $30. Mt. For a true patriotic celebration to honor and remember not just those who died serving the military but also our veterans, the Unfinished Business Productions and South SLO County Veterans of Foreign Wars are throwing a benefit concert on Memorial Day 2022, Monday, May 30th, at the Blacklake Golf Resort in Nipomo.
The Memorial Day program starts at noon, and the concert featuring performances by local bands and guest artists will begin at 1 pm. Admission is free, but you can purchase either 4 or 8-person tables. Food and drinks will be sold at the event, and all of the proceeds will go to the Disabled American Veterans and AmpSurf organizations by South SLO County Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The 9th Annual Avila Beach Tequila Festival is back this year after being rescheduled due to the pandemic. The festival’s new date is Saturday, March 28th, 2022, on Memorial Day weekend.
Whether you like tequila or not, the event is a great way to spend the long weekend with your loved ones. It’s a drinking event, so yes, no kids allowed! You must be 21 or over to enter.
